73rd Annual Christmas Day Crossing Reenactment

Each December, thousands of people gather on the banks of the Delaware River to watch the reenactment of George Washington’s daring 1776 Christmas night river crossing. During the event, several hundred reenactors in Continental military dress listen to an inspiring speech by General Washington and then row across the river in replica Durham boats. Fall 2025 Lantern Tours

Washington Crossing Historic Park - Visitor Center & Historic Village 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing

Learn about the Crossing during the time of day it actually occurred by taking a Lantern Tour of Washington Crossing Historic Park this fall! Tours will take place every Friday and Saturday in October at 6:30 and 7:30 PM. They will include a living history presentation on the conditions the men would have faced the night of the Crossing. This tour lasts about 1 hour and covers the conditions and history of the crossing, as well as the three battles that follow it, the battles of Trenton and the Battle of Princeton.
